Key Responsibilities- Oversee all materials and supply‑chain operations globally.
- Establish and ensure adherence to best‑practice policies and procedures, including material handling in support of shop‑floor lean manufacturing and lean logistics initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and manage best‑practice material handling and provide support for inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control systems.
- Track Materials Management metrics; perform root‑cause analysis and initiate actions to improve any metric falling short of target goals.
- Drive efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations, including inventory management, staging, material handling processes, quality, and logistics; develop operating guidelines, policies, and procedures for inventory and warehousing.
- Monitor overall inventory accuracy for all locations and develop action plans with direct reports to resolve issues and improve processes; ensure that inventory controls are in place at all locations.
- Represent the materials organization on corporate materials task‑force teams; manage department budget, costs, and resources; collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve cost‑reduction targets.
- Recruit, evaluate, and manage employees to ensure efficient operation of the function.
- Broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories, and practices.
- Apply industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across business unit, department, or sub‑function.
- Lead through subordinate managers; execute segment/functional business plans and contribute to the development of segment/functional strategy.
- Direct resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems, applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.
- Guide strategy to impact results of a department, business unit, or sub‑function; facilitate work done by other segments/functions by providing support that impacts the business.
- Negotiate and influence opinions of others at the senior executive level and in external organizations; exercise sensitivity to the audience.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and consideration of internal equity with current team members.
