About Our School

St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School is a coeducational Catholic school serving students from Pre-K 3 through 12th grade in Austin, Texas. The Lower School comprises grades PK3-4th, the Middle School houses grades 5-8, and the Upper school includes grades 9-12. Purpose

The facility rental staff member will support the development, operation, and maintenance of the campus during rentals by organizations in association with St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School. This is a part-time, hourly position with evening and weekend hours required, based on the rental calendar. Rentals typically occur in our upper school gyms for athletic activities or in our auditorium and dining hall for performances and celebrations.

Responsibilities

The auxiliary department manages programs that generate additional revenue and add value for students, families, and the community, including:

  • After-School Care and Enrichment
  • Academic Competitions
  • Campus Store
  • Facility Rentals
  • Transportation
  • Summer Camp

The department promotes the school's brand, supports admissions, and creates employment opportunities.

Essential Duties
  • Maintain the facility’s organization and cleanliness
  • Oversee daily operations of the buildings
  • Prepare facilities according to client needs
  • Organize and maintain equipment systems
  • Check schedules for proper facility usage
  • Provide excellent customer service and greet clients
  • Assist with building maintenance as needed
  • Manage supplies within the facility
  • Ensure a safe environment
  • Direct clients or assist in connecting them with appropriate personnel
  • Support event operations such as gate, concessions, and parking
  • Display a positive attitude and professional representation
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with businesses, organizations, schools, community members, and parents
  • Dependability and teamwork support
  • Ability to remain calm under stress and deliver excellent customer service
  • Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
  • Possession or ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within six months
  • Availability to work weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 140 pounds with assistance
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Pass a background check
