How you will contribute:

We're looking for an entrepreneurial business developer who thrives on turning strategy into revenue. You'll own the full lifecycle: identifying market opportunities, crafting go-to-market strategies, and executing with precision to close deals and build partnerships. This isn't a typical BD role—you're building the playbook while running it.

You're structured, organized, and bring discipline to chaos. You see around corners, move fast, and have an innate ability to translate market intelligence into actionable plans. Most importantly, you're an animal when it comes to driving results.

What you will be working on:

  • Conduct deep market analysis to identify high-value opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats
  • Build comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches, including positioning, pricing, channel strategy, and customer segmentation
  • Develop business cases with clear revenue projections, resource requirements, and success metrics
  • Create structured frameworks for evaluating partnerships, markets, and strategic initiatives
Go-to-Market Execution
  • Own end-to-end execution of GTM plans—from first customer conversations to signed contracts
  • Drive aggressive sales pipeline development through prospecting, relationship building, and strategic outreach
  • Lead cross-functional coordination across R&D, operations, marketing, and finance to ensure flawless execution
  • Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and accountability systems
  • Create sales collateral, pitch decks, and commercial proposals that win business
Revenue Generation & Partnership Development
  • Close deals. You're measured on revenue impact and partnership quality
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements with strategic customers and partners
  • Manage relationships with key accounts and ensure long‑term value creation
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships that accelerate market penetration
Systems & Process
  • Build structured processes for pipeline management, customer tracking, and deal progression
  • Implement CRM discipline and maintain impeccable documentation
  • Create dashboards and reporting systems that provide visibility into business development activities
  • Develop playbooks and templates that can scale across the organization

What you bring to Plantible:

Required
  • 7+ years in business development, sales, strategy consulting, or related roles with demonstrated revenue impact
  • Proven track record:
    Closed at least $10M in commercial agreements
  • Market entry experience:
    Successfully launched at least 2 products into new markets
  • Pipeline development:
    Built and managed sales pipeline exceeding $50M
  • Exceptional analytical skills—you're equally comfortable with market research, financial modeling, and competitive analysis
  • Highly organized with obsessive attention to detail and follow-through
  • Outstanding communication skills—you can pitch to executives, negotiate with procurement teams, and inspire internal stakeholders
  • Ability to operate as a peer‑level strategic partner to senior leadership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in ambiguity and ability to build structure from scratch
  • Experience in food & beverage, CPG, ingredients, or B2B sales strongly preferred
