Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and processes all procard payment vouchers and purchasing vouchers in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering. Manages all departmental Procurement Card (Procard) documentation for accuracy; processes monthly Procard (VP7) for all Mechanical Engineering (ME) department faculty and staff.
  • Provides procurement processing for the ME department. Processes procurement-related documents affiliated with purchases, including purchase orders via UT Market, Point Plus, and Procard. Acts as procurement expert to provide advice and information to ensure faculty are fully aware of their purchasing options to adhere to UT and ME procurement policy.
  • Processes monthly VP9 documents affiliated with eShipGlobal and IDT correction of Charges (VT6s) affiliated with Procard VP7s and VP9s (due to Master View issues).
  • Collaborates with the Inventory Coordinator to locate tagged items; prepares the self-tagging form for ME inventory via the purchasing form. Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field with three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with UT mainframe application and web modules. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in an office environment. Demonstrated creative and analytical thinking.
  • Experience with databases and working with confidential information.
  • Extensive experience using Excel and Adobe Acrobat software and comfortable with other software applications.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience at UT-Austin
Salary Range

$53,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
  • Standard office conditions
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
Work Shift
  • Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Occasional evening, weekend, or overtime hours may be required.
  • This position may be eligible for a hybrid (on-campus and off-campus) work based on business needs and at the discretion of the supervisor.
