HID is looking for a driven, detail-oriented, and motivated professional to join the Global Trade organization. You'll be expected to perform basic to moderately complex analysis, reporting, and administrative tasks under the supervision of our Regional Trade Manager, while gaining the skills and experience needed to tackle more complex tasks. You will be involved in daily import transaction activities related to import clearances, broker communication, PSCs, drawbacks, and others as needed.

The ideal candidate will have work experience in the supply chain, operations, trade, or logistics. This role is a great opportunity to build your career in Trade. As our Trade Compliance Analyst, you'll support HID's success by:
  • Demonstrating basic analysis, reporting, and administrative competencies while contributing to the objectives of the Global Trade team
  • Supporting daily customs clearance activity performed by external customs brokers may be assigned.
  • Soliciting, collecting and verifying certificates or origin and other required trade documentation from suppliers.
  • Helping Identify duty drawback opportunities across business units and product lines.
  • Coordinating with internal departments(e.g., Logistics, Finance, Purchasing) and external stakeholders to gather necessary documentation.
  • Monitoring drawback filing statusand follow up with CBP to ensure timely processing and refunds.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting for audits and internal reviews.
  • Supporting post-entry processes (PSC, protests, etc.) to correct or recover duties.
  • Assisting in internal audits and CBP inquiries.
  • Training internal stakeholders on import compliance best practices and documentation needs.
Your Experience and Background include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 0-2 years professional work experience
  • Understanding of U.S. Customs regulations.
  • Experience with HTSUS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States), USMCA (United. States-Mexico-Canada Agreement), and trade documentation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and CBP Systems (e.g., ACE, ABI)
  • Proficiency in data analysis and document management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and unyielding integrity
  • Daily engagement with import operations.
  • Communication with brokers, freight forwarders, and internal customers: buyers, planners, warehouse, logistics, etc.
  • Identify and work on duty mitigation analyses such as drawbacks, PSC, and others.
  • Outline a process for drawbacks.
  • Communicate work status clearly to their manager and team.
  • Strives to learn HID core values and exhibit these values in their daily work.
  • Gain practical experience by supporting various compliance tasks and projects under the supervision of the Regional Trade Manager.
  • Assist in gathering data, preparing reports, and performing basic analyses.
  • Good understanding of financial principles.
  • Proficiency with Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Familiar with FTZ operations is preferred
  • Experienced working in a matrixed organization is preferred
  • Strategic thinker having problem-solving skills is preferred
  • Passion for setting and meeting aggressive goals is preferred
  • Able to detect gaps and implement the needed solutions is preferred
