Senior Leader – Business Development Strategy & Analytics
A nationally recognized construction organization is seeking a senior-level leader to elevate its Business Development strategy through data-driven insights, performance analytics, and cross-functional alignment. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to shape growth strategy, strengthen pipeline visibility, and ensure BD initiatives align with long-term corporate objectives.

Position OverviewThe Senior Leader of Business Development Strategy & Analytics will oversee sales performance reporting, market intelligence integration, CRM optimization, and long-range planning initiatives. This individual will play a central role in aligning revenue generation efforts with operational capacity, strategic priorities, and regional expansion goals.
Core Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Performance Management- Develop and implement KPIs that measure BD effectiveness and drive accountability across regions.
- Transform complex sales and market data into actionable insights that guide executive decision-making.
- Lead the creation of dashboards and performance reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into sales health and opportunity tracking.
- Partner with national BD leadership to support quarterly reviews, revenue forecasting, budgeting, and target setting.
- Ensure pipeline development aligns with long-term strategic initiatives and multi-year growth plans.
- Translate business intelligence into strategic actions that enhance competitive positioning and market share.
- Integrate research-based analysis with field‑driven relationship insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Evaluate emerging sectors and underserved markets to expand strategic footprint.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on industry trends and customer demand patterns.
- Prepare high‑impact business performance updates for senior executives and board‑level discussions.
- Highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic planning cycles.
- Ensure reporting structures directly support annual planning, leadership summits, and corporate strategy sessions.
- Drive improvements in Salesforce functionality, workflow automation, and reporting accuracy.
- Champion data integrity and user adoption across BD teams.
- Collaborate with IT to implement system enhancements and training programs that improve sales productivity.
- Mentor and develop BD professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Act as a strategic liaison between Business Development, Operations, and Corporate Strategy to align pursuits with capacity planning and long‑term growth initiatives.
- Operate effectively in a player‑coach capacity, balancing strategic oversight with tactical execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in strategic planning, sales operations, or construction/project leadership.
- Strong analytical acumen with expertise in data visualization and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated experience optimizing Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in complex, growth‑focused environments.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
