Benefits Administrator

Austin, TX, United States

Contract: Availability for at least a 2-month contract with potential extension to 6 months; potential for conversion.
Compensation: $30.00/hour to $42.00/hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Responsibilities
  • Assist, prioritize, and deliver the day‑to‑day operations of our company’s USA benefits programs including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, accident plans, flexible spending, retirement, EAP, and leaves.
  • Interact with external benefits vendors, facilitate internal transactions, and manage employee requests to ensure excellent customer service and benefits understanding.
  • Process benefit‑related invoices, coordinate with finance and carriers, and oversee billing and payment activities.
  • Respond to employee benefit inquiries, provide support via the benefits portal, and maintain benefits websites.
  • Audit and ensure timely payment of premiums, perform weekly payroll deductions audits, and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Support HIPAA and COBRA compliance activities, including training and notices.
  • Assist with the administration of the Wellbeing program, monitor participation, and communicate related activities.
  • Support HR and employee leaves, including benefits coordination during leave processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with no degree or 2+ years with a relevant degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field.
  • In‑depth knowledge of benefit plans and hands‑on experience with HR Information Systems like Workday and Service Now.
  • Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot tables, V‑lookups, Graphing, Mail‑merge, and Formulas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Solution‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Availability for at least a 2-month contract with potential extension to 6 months; potential for conversion.
