About the Role
The Business Development Senior Specialist – Texas, Litigation is responsible for working in close collaboration with the Business Development Director – Litigation, Business Development Senior Manager - Texas, key practice and market leaders, and colleagues across the BD department to support the related practice group and attorneys in our Texas offices to achieve their strategic marketing and business development goals. This role will be located in our Austin office and may be eligible for a hybrid flexible working schedule.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of practice, industry, market expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media; employ knowledge to develop and execute strategic business development and marketing plans, acting as a 'dot connector' internally.
- Provide research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and enhancement of existing client relationships.
- Build and drive the marketing strategy for the industry group with a focus on measurable impact.
- Achieve fluency in our client base and support efforts to identify, pursue, and attain new business from new and existing clients.
- Work collaboratively across teams on strategic projects.
- Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information.
- Possess knowledge of the industry landscape, including various players, trends, etc.
- Display well-developed interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team with a customer-service focus.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Business Development environment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably.
