Adecco is actively recruiting for Materials Buyer positions with our client in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating pricing and managing non‑strategic suppliers under supervision, issuing RFQs, evaluating bids, expediting orders, and managing purchase orders through delivery, payment, and recordkeeping to ensure timely, cost‑effective sourcing of materials and services. Additional responsibilities include partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to identify suppliers, support contract negotiations, maintain inventory levels, and resolve procurement, receiving, and accounting issues.
The role also includes using SAP and Ariba for purchasing, data analysis, inventory tracking, and reporting while applying supply chain knowledge, supplier evaluation, strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills. You will also support process improvements, small projects, and assist less experienced team members.
- Pay range is $27.90 - $37.74 depending on experience

- Bachelor’s degree
- 1–3 years (entry) or 3–5 years (intermediate) experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, procurement strategies, inventory management, logistics, and contract/vendor management
- Proficiency in SAP and Ariba with strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Experience evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
- Strong negotiation, communication, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and follow established procurement processes
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to support or lead small projects and assist less experienced team members
- Willingness to work onsite full‑time in Austin, TX with overtime as required
