Job Overview
Adecco is hiring immediately for a Trade Specialist with a local client in Austin, TX.
Pay: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour Responsibilities- Ensure U.S. business operations comply with customs regulations and export control laws.
- Participate in import and export operations and process improvements to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with lines of business, purchasing, logistics, service providers, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance for import/export transactions.
- Increase knowledge of U.S. import/export laws and regulations.
- Support day‑to‑day operational execution including import/export of products, services, transfer of technical data, and other trade operations.
- Interact regularly with internal stakeholders; provide operational support and guidance on import clearance and export declaration compliance.
- Perform internal self‑assessments to ensure trade compliance activities are executed properly.
- Execute processes, controls, record‑keeping and audit preparation regarding import entry and export declarations.
- Monitor compliance and performance of external service providers.
- Assist in import clearance issues with import ops and customs broker.
- Resolve import/export shipment issues working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third parties.
- Analyze high volumes of data to identify anomalies, gather data, and report to management daily, weekly or as required.
- Proficient in Excel, data analytics and visualization.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns and trends.
- Well‑developed organizational, priority management and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills.
- Customer focus with ability to prioritize, problem‑solve, and multi‑task in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
- Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams and international environments.
- High integrity and discretion.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience in highly regulated, high‑tech or semiconductor industry.
- Professional certificates, licenses, Lean Six Sigma and training a plus.
