Role Overview
The Encoura Renewals team is focused on partnering with our internal field team and strategic partners to secure long‑term relationships with customers. As a Customer Renewal Manager you will support the North America business segment and work to improve customers’ experiences through the renewal of Encoura’s broad range of innovative products and services, delivering continuous improvement to their learning ecosystems.
A Day in the Life- Act as Encoura’s primary sales interface for renewals with partners and customers.
- Work with the internal sales and success teams to develop win/win proposals that include product or service expansion opportunities.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams on pricing, quoting, and renewal contract processing.
- Manage a portfolio for the business unit, aiming for 100% on‑time renewals and increasing retention rates.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to identify account health risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and provide regular updates on status and forecasts to business segment leaders and senior business leaders.
- Travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Within 1 month: complete onboarding and platform training while shadowing experienced team members across renewal processes, client communication, reporting workflows, and internal procedures.
- Within 3 months: independently manage day‑to‑day renewal execution for assigned accounts, reviewing contracts, delivering proposals, and negotiating to secure renewals while demonstrating prioritization, timeline management, and effective cross‑team collaboration.
- Within 6 months: fully own an assigned book of business, ensuring on‑time renewal delivery before expiration, and support the Customer Success team with retention risk strategies and accurate renewal forecasts.
- At least 5 years of experience in consultative selling, renewal management, and relationship management in an enterprise or solution‑based and/or technical sales environment.
- 2–5 years of experience working with partners, building relationships, and executing transactions through them.
- Highly developed client service and satisfaction focus.
- Experience operating within a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplined virtual team.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the higher education and e‑Learning sectors preferred.
- Successful candidates must complete and pass a CLEAR™ identity verification as part of the pre‑employment screening process.
The annual base salary range for this exempt position is $65,000–$75,500 and reflects the midpoint through the maximum of the established range for this role. Encoura establishes compensation using national market data, internal equity considerations, and organizational budget factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization. Certain roles may also be eligible for variable compensation in addition to base salary.
