Assistant to the Director (Austin)
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) seeks an Assistant to the Director (Staff Services Officer III) for the Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center (CCRC), located at 4800 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas. This role supports the efficacy of program staff services and maintains confidentiality on sensitive matters.
TWC is not considering applications for individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those with H1B visas or current student/postgraduate visas. Applicants must be Texas residents or willing to relocate to Texas.
Responsibilities- Support the Director by planning, directing, and coordinating staff services functions required for center operations, including managing complex communications.
- Manage document processing.
- Analyze, develop, and recommend practices and procedures related to program support functions.
- Coordinate and direct special projects.
- Assist in regional program operational expense budget issues (researching, querying, and reporting program data utilizing the agency case management systems).
- Serve as regional expert on utilizing the agency administrative system.
- Prepare financial and administrative correspondence for program staff under the supervision of the RD and/or DRD.
- Analyze and report program statistical information, preparing summaries, charts, and graphs presenting results of analysis.
- Consult with the Director on progress, development, and evaluation of areas of responsibility and special projects.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- One year and six months of full‑time experience in business management, human resource administration, budget preparation or control, or a related staff services function.
- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
