Manager, Operational Excellence & OEE Lead - Project Farma

This is a full‑time salaried position with Project Farma, a Perkin Elmer company. The successful candidate may reside in any Project Farma regional market but must be willing to travel domestically to meet client project requests.

This Managerial role supports organizational success by driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, while investing in people through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and professional development. This role is responsible for leading a team and overseeing the execution of work aligned to a project, client, or business objective. It balances people leadership with operational accountability, including coaching, performance management, resource planning, and ensuring high‑quality delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Operational Excellence and OEE plans, including OPEX & OEE assessments.
  • Understand and articulate DMAIC/Value Stream Mapping/Kaizen/GEMBA/5S approaches as a subject‑matter expert.
  • Mentor project and client teams on Operational Excellence and OEE tools and techniques.
  • Lead OpEx and OEE teams either in‑house or as a consultant.
  • Grounding in all elements of Operational Excellence (Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen) and OEE.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure business success.
  • Embed OpEx & OEE improvements into standardized work processes.
  • Preferably hold a Black Belt in Operational Excellence.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams from Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain on OpEx and OEE initiatives.
  • Apply OpEx and OEE principles in biopharmaceutical facilities with Drug Substance or Drug Product/Packaging processes.
  • Demonstrate tangible business improvement through OpEx and OEE techniques.
  • Develop visual management systems for OpEx and OEE efforts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience developing and executing OpEx and OEE strategies and assessments.
  • Expert knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, Gemba, 5S; ability to articulate their value.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience in practical OpEx and OEE tool application.
  • Leadership of OpEx and OEE initiatives across cross‑functional organizations.
  • Strong command of KPI definition, tracking, and monitoring to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Successful embedding of OpEx and OEE improvements into sustainable processes.
  • Black Belt in Operational Excellence or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Hands‑on experience applying OpEx and OEE in biopharmaceutical manufacturing (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Packaging).
  • Proficiency with OpEx and OEE analysis and deployment tools and software.
  • Deliverable record of tangible, quantifiable business improvements.
  • Skilled in designing and deploying visual management systems for OpEx initiatives.
Leadership Skills
  • Lead 10–20 person cross‑functional OpEx and OEE teams in biopharma facilities.
  • Prioritize and set milestone targets/business improvements for OpEx & OEE teams.
  • Navigate ambiguity and influence clients toward bold, business‑driven approaches.
