The Remediation Project Manager reports to the General Manager with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. Responsibilities- Visiting new assignments and interfacing with clients to sell the job.
- Scoping damages at the site, creating an estimate on a database, and submitting it to the insurance company for approval.
- Coordinating demolition and dry‑out of commercial properties, compiling field notes, timecards, equipment usage, and estimating commercial water losses, ensuring projects are completed to Jenkins standard.
- Direct on‑site supervision for all mold remediation projects, coordinating and supervising the work.
- Calling or meeting customers to ensure satisfaction and collecting payment for completed work.
- Managing deadlines, progress, and quality on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assisting with after‑hours, on‑call phone mitigation assignments as needed.
- Assisting in marketing strategies, plans, and events.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Education:
Associate’s degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school with a record of strong academic achievement. - Experience:
At least six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT); IICRC Applied Microbial Technician (AMRT); IICRC Commercial Drying Specialist (CDS); IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD). All required certifications plus local and state certifications.
The Remediation Project Manager must read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively to customers and/or employees in English.
Technical Skills- Knowledge of industry‑related software and ability to touch‑type.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Communication via cell phone and appropriate apps.
- Preferred:
Experience with Xactimate, Sage, SharePoint.
Ability to solve practical problems, interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions in English, and navigate limited standardization situations.
Physical RequirementsThe role requires sitting, handling, reaching, and speaking or hearing regularly; occasional standing and walking; and occasional lifting or moving up to 75 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Appropriate safety equipment is furnished.
Work EnvironmentExposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, and moderate noise levels. Safety equipment will be provided.
