Product Manager

About Us:

ShipperHQ is a trusted leader in the e‑commerce shipping space, with over 15 years of experience helping merchants deliver better checkout experiences. Founded in 2009, we power shipping logic and checkout optimization for thousands of brands, from DTC disruptors to enterprise retailers, in 150+ countries. Based in Austin with a global team, we’re a fast‑moving, product‑led company shaping the future of e‑commerce logistics.

Position Overview

ShipperHQ is looking for an experienced Product Manager to help shape the future of our eCommerce shipping platform. In this role, you'll own key areas of the product lifecycle—from identifying customer needs and defining product strategy to partnering with Engineering, Design, and Go‑to‑Market teams to deliver impactful solutions.

You'll combine customer insights, market research, and data‑driven decision‑making to prioritize initiatives that improve the merchant experience, drive business growth, and strengthen ShipperHQ's position as an industry leader. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced SaaS environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited to leverage AI and emerging technologies to build better products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and workflows to identify opportunities for innovation and product improvement.
  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps that align with company objectives.
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prototypes.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, QA, and other cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality products on time.
  • Make informed prioritization decisions using customer feedback, analytics, market trends, and competitive insights.
  • Support product launches by partnering with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership to ensure successful go‑to‑market execution.
  • Collaborate on product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor product performance, customer adoption, and key success metrics to improve the product continuously.
  • Serve as a product expert internally and externally, helping customers, partners, and internal teams understand product capabilities and value.
  • Engage directly with customers, partners, and system integrators to gather feedback and validate product direction.
  • Champion AI‑driven capabilities and emerging technologies where they create meaningful value for customers and internal teams.
What we’re looking for
  • 4 – 6+ years of Product Management experience in a SaaS environment, preferably in eCommerce, logistics, or shipping.
  • Proven experience owning products through the full product lifecycle, from discovery and strategy to launch and iteration.
  • Strong understanding of customer research, product analytics, market trends, and Agile development.
  • Comfortable working with engineering teams and discussing APIs, integrations, and technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify opportunities to apply them.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • A proactive, adaptable self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and takes ownership of outcomes.
Why ShipperHQ?

This is a highly fast‑paced environment where no two days will look alike. For the right candidate, with the right attitude, there are fantastic opportunities for career progression. We are an agile, fast‑moving team that likes to roll up our sleeves and solve some of the biggest issues in shipping. You will learn more at ShipperHQ in a year than you would in 3 years at other companies, thanks to our collaborative learning culture that fosters continuous growth and innovation.
