Program / Project Manager, Change Management
The Program Manager – Transformation Management is a senior individual contributor within Q2’s Transformation Management office, responsible for leading large‑scale, strategically important programs. Representative examples of such initiatives could include, among others: (i) the translation of Q2’s internal AI strategy to drive and measure internal efficiency gains across the enterprise; (ii) the modernization and enhancement of existing systems and processes to execute Q2’s broader data strategy;
and/or (iii) the integration of acquired companies as part of Q2’s M&A strategy. This role coordinates cross‑functional teams, at times without formal authority, translating our strategy into executable programs and interdependent projects. The Program Manager partners closely with senior executives across Q2, spanning Engineering, Support, Service Delivery, Product, Sales & Success, People and Business Operations to ensure programs and the associated component projects are scoped and executed on schedule, ultimately delivering the expected return on investment.
The role requires strong problem‑solving, program management and change management credentials and extensive experience working in the software industry. The role will be based in Austin, Texas, with up to 10% travel to support stakeholder engagement and execution.
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large, complex programs spanning multiple business units, product lines, and geographies.
- Own program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Operate within ambiguity to provide suggested solutions and demonstrate subject‑matter expertise.
- Coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining visibility into interdependencies and impacts across initiatives.
- Provide leadership and oversight to project managers to drive consistent execution and reporting.
- To the extent required, directly lead specific projects to ensure the broader program objectives are attained.
- Act as a primary point of coordination between executive sponsors, business leaders, and broader execution teams.
- Coordinate associated change management initiatives to ensure transformation initiatives become embedded within normal course operations.
- Facilitate program reviews, steering committees, and decision forums, clearly communicating status, risks, and outcomes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program‑level risks.
- Establish and continuously improve program management standards, metrics, and reporting to drive execution excellence and measurable outcomes.
- 8–12 years of relevant professional experience leading complex, enterprise‑scale programs with multiple interdependent projects.
- Strong preference for relevant professional experience in enterprise software, SaaS, fintech, or similar corporate environments.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Preference for PgMP or PMP certification.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into executable delivery plans and sustained business outcomes.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Deep experience in dependency management, risk management, and issue resolution in complex operating environments.
- Track record of partnering effectively with business leaders to develop execution strategies across multiple functional areas.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and financial acumen to support data‑driven decision‑making and program governance.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and developing others and providing leadership to project‑level stakeholders.
