What we are looking for:

We’re looking for aPayroll Specialist who can deliver accurate, timely, and compliant payroll support across multiple states. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, professionalism, and experience working with ADP or similar HRIS systems. This role requires someone who can maintain payroll records, manage taxes and deductions, reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and partner closely with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure smooth payroll operations.

What you'll do:

Process biweekly payroll cycles, including gross‑to‑net calculations, adjustments, and off‑cycle runs.

Respond to payroll questions from employees and internal partners, escalating issues when needed.

Process payroll tax filings, levies, garnishments, and other required deductions.

Maintain accurate employee and payroll data in ADP and internal systems.

Research and resolve payroll discrepancies by processing corrections and coordinating with stakeholders.

Complete employment and income verification requests.

Assist with annual 401(k) compliance audit activities.

Prepare, review, and distribute payroll reports.

Support new company setups in ADP, including payroll configuration and tax setup.

Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and documentation.

Other duties as assigned.

It’ll help to have/be:

Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to collaborate professionally across the organization.

Strong organization and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.

Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment with consistent attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment with sensitive information.

Detail‑oriented approach with the ability to manage tasks independently and within a team.

Working knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications/

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2-4 years of payroll administration experience, preferably processing multi-state payroll.

Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.

CPP certification is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction. We will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Work environment and physical requirements:

Administrativeoffice may have minimum visits to medical offices with possible exposure to procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
