Earthjustice is the nation's leading environmental law organization. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, preserve magnificent places and wildlife, advance clean energy, and combat climate change. We are here because the Earth needs a good lawyer.

Driven by a passion for justice, inclusion, partnership, and excellence, our core values lead us to seek a broad range of perspectives and backgrounds to achieve our mission and maintain an inclusive environment where all staff are valued and respected.

Earthjustice’s Direct Response team is seeking a one-year Direct Response Assistant (“Assistant”) to provide additional capacity during a critical evaluation period for our direct mail program.

The Assistant reports to the Sr. Associate Director of Direct Response in Outreach and Membership Services ("OMS") and plays an important role in supporting Earthjustice's Public Support and Justice Partners fundraising mail programs. This position provides administrative and project coordination support for direct mail fundraising campaigns, helping to manage production schedules, maintain documentation, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors on donor acquisition, renewal, reinstatement, and upgrade initiatives.

The Assistant works closely with Development Operations to support accurate and efficient gift processing, partners with colleagues in Communications on marketing-related projects, and helps keep stakeholders informed about fundraising activities throughout the year.

Building strong, productive relationships with colleagues across Development, Communications, and Program teams is essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. A deep commitment to Earthjustice’s mission, vision, and values is a must.

This is a non‑supervisory, full‑time (37.5 hours/week) role that may be done fully remotely within the U.S. or on a hybrid schedule from one of Earthjustice's offices. The successful candidate will work for 12 months with an anticipated start date in mid‑ or late‑September 2026.
