Job Description & How to Apply Below

TAR's mission is to power intelligence for the world. We are building the world's first off-grid power plant for data centers powered by renewable technologies.

We firmly believe AI should be built in the US for the benefit of all people. For that, power must be fast, clean, and scalable. We are singularly focused on delivering GW-scale power faster than anyone has ever done, by rethinking every layer of the stack.

To deliver on this vision, TAR manufactures, deploys, and operates off-grid energy assets with a renewable backbone. We vertically integrate to solve every bottleneck, from racking systems to power electronics to dispatch algorithms to on-site construction.

Leave your mark by powering the future of civilisation‑scale energy infrastructure.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

Company

We are a team of seasoned operators run by founders who previously scaled a company to over 80 people and $350M in annual sales. We know how to operate, and we move fast.

We are working directly with one of the largest compute providers to make our vision come true and plan to deploy 5GWs by 2028.

TAR is both a hardware and software company, we are building out massive, critical, physical infrastructure.

  • High ownership. High Agency. Own project end-to-end. Great people don't need to be managed.
  • Speed. We achieve great things on incredible timelines. We always push ourselves to go faster.
  • First principles. No ego. No hierarchy. Challenge every assumption.
  • Passion. Solving the energy problem is one of the largest challenges that faces the world now and in the future. We put in long hours and hard work to solve this.
About the role

You keep TAR's day-to-day operations running so that nothing gets in the way of delivering GW-scale power. You are the detail-oriented operator who manages the operational backbone of the business, including project logistics, vendor management, and the dozens of moving pieces that keep high-stakes field projects running on schedule and smoothly. Your days are varied: coordinating a supplier delivery one day, resolving a site logistics issue the next, keeping a project on schedule, or solving whatever operational problem is in front of you.

You'll get clear priorities and mission‑critical problems to overcome on the way to project delivery. Your operational expertise enables TAR to move with excellence and speed to capitalize on a once in a generation opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: manage supplier relationships and troubleshoot delivery, quality, or logistics issues as they arise.
  • Operations: run daily office and operational topics independently, keeping critical processes and systems running without interruption.
  • Coordination: support engineering and technical teams by handling logistics, scheduling, and coordination of deployment critical processes.
  • Firefighting: troubleshoot the daily problems that come up, like finding a last‑minute replacement supplier or driving to the customer site to solve a contractor problem.
Qualifications
  • 1-5 years of professional experience in high‑pressure environments: startups, consulting, banking/finance, engineering, military, or a strong operations background.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a track record of executing complex, process‑driven work without letting things slip.
  • Demonstrated ability to run operational work streams with precision and consistency, even under shifting priorities and tight timelines.
  • Strong organization, sound judgment, and the discipline to follow through on well‑defined mandates with rigor.
Nice to have
  • Experience operating in or around a hardware, robotics, or deep‑tech startup.
  • A track record of managing vendors, logistics, or field operations.
  • Comfort working alongside engineers and technical leadership.
