About the Role: As the Product Manager for Certification and Governance, you will shape a core component of the identity security platform. Access Certifications are central to SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. You’ll use AI to identify patterns and provide recommendations to administrators and reviewers to help govern and secure access to business-critical applications. You will engage in strategic planning, market analysis, and collaboration with engineering on technical features, translating customer needs into actionable product requirements and defining a product vision that leverages AI to enhance the user experience.
About the Team: You will join a highly collaborative Product team focused on developing, launching, and continually improving SailPoint’s products. The team emphasizes open communication and teamwork, working with other product managers, engineers, architects, and marketing to realize the product vision.
Responsibilities- Lead the product strategy and roadmap for Certification and Governance.
- Collaborate with engineering to translate requirements into scalable features.
- Act as the voice of the customer and translate needs into actionable requirements.
- Define and execute a product vision that leverages AI to improve the user experience.
- Communicate product value to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- 30 Days: Learn the Certification roadmap; introduce yourself to key stakeholders; present initial findings and a learning plan.
- 60 Days: Own the product backlog; prioritize features based on customer feedback; refine requirements and finalize sprint plans; develop success metrics.
- 90 Days: Lead a feature from conception to launch; conduct first customer feedback session; deliver a 12-month product roadmap.
- 6 Months: Propose and lead a strategic initiative; mentor a junior team member.
- Minimum of 3 years in a product management role.
- Demonstrated success with engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch enterprise software.
- Experience managing SaaS and/or cloud infrastructure products.
- Experience in the Identity security field is highly desirable.
- Experience using AI tooling to accelerate productivity.
- Experience shipping AI-powered features that enhance customer experiences.
- Familiarity with open platform connectivity technologies (web and microservices) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
BA/BS in business or technical field required. MBA is a plus.
TravelThis position requires approximately 15% travel.
Benefits and compensation vary based on location and employment type. This role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or role-specific commission, along with potential equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges to reflect knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as product lines. Salary ranges are typically determined by factors including internal equity.
Salary example (US-based employees): $105,600 - $177,944 base salary. Base salaries for other locations are competitive for the home location.
