The Department of Public Safety (DPS) requires the services of two Business Analysts, hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Business Analyst, Level 2, Emerging Technology and the specifications outlined in this document for DPS.

Various technology and innovation projects that directly impact the daily operations of DPS to achieve Agency missions, goals, and objectives. Support current DPS projects and priorities in the facilitation of gathering themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria and analysis of existing requirements documentation.

Directly support project and development teams on various initiatives to improve agency effectiveness, compliance with applicable statutes, and enhance service delivery capabilities. Facilitate project development and quality assurance discussions on gathering story points to use for a predictive level of effort model.

Deliverables:

• Creating themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria according to Agency standards.
• Convert existing use cases to actionable user stories/epics/acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Analyze existing process documentation and document potential opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Support development and implementation of various initiatives.

Skills and

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Four years in the field or related technology field as senior level Business Analyst.
• Three years working knowledge of Agile project management methodology/practices.
