We provide end-to-end HR solutions — from talent acquisition and payroll to compliance, employee relations, and organizational development. Backed by Fortune 500 HR leadership experience, we help businesses build compliant, high-performing teams and navigate the complexities of the U.S. market with confidence.
We're posting this role on behalf of our client, a leader in robotics and intelligent optical systems.
Role OverviewThe Site Services Director will be responsible for leading all non-production support functions — HR, Facilities, EHS, and Finance — at a transceiver manufacturing facility. Acting as an Operations Director for these functions, this role ensures the people, infrastructure, compliance, and financial controls behind the scenes keep pace with production and business growth. The ideal candidate has led site services or business operations in a hardware/electronics manufacturing environment and leads effectively through functional managers rather than as a deep technical expert in each area.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience); MBA a plus
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing/site operations, including 5+ years directly managing multiple functional teams (HR, Facilities, EHS, and/or Finance)
- Experience in a hardware or electronics manufacturing environment (PCBA/SMT, computer hardware, telecom/networking, optics, or similar)
- Track record managing budgets, capital planning, and vendor relationships across multiple functions
- Working knowledge of OSHA/environmental compliance, employment law fundamentals, and financial controls
- Strong stakeholder management skills, partnering effectively with plant leadership, corporate functions, and the site workforce
- Experience in computer electronics hardware manufacturing (transceivers, optical components, networking hardware, servers, or similar)
- Experience supporting site growth, new facility start-up, or capacity expansion
- Exposure to ERP/MES systems and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
