- Lead requirements gathering sessions through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery meetings.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements.
- Develop detailed user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and process documentation aligned with business analysis best practices.
- Create process maps, workflows, wireframes, and UX mockups to support solution design and user experience improvements.
- Analyze current business processes and recommend process re-engineering opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Support projects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements through testing and implementation.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
- Manage requirements and project artifacts using Modern Requirements and Atlassian Jira
. - Track issues, change requests, and project progress using Jira.
- Prepare clear, organized documentation, reports, presentations, and meeting summaries.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirement reviews, and solution discussions.
- Support complaint and case management workflows, including intake, investigation, and resolution processes when applicable.
- 8+ years of Business Analyst experience
. - Extensive experience gathering requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with business process re-engineering and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience creating wireframes and UX mockups.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong technical writing, documentation, and organizational skills.
- 4+ years of experience using Atlassian Jira
. - 2+ years of experience using Modern Requirements
.
- Experience working with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), federal, state, or local education agencies, or education technology vendors.
- Experience supporting complaint and case management systems and workflows.
- Experience working in regulated public-sector or education environments.
