Your Opportunity
Digital Retail Product Operations is seeking a Senior Manager,
Strategic Business Programs & Communications
. This role works upstream across the business to shape high-priority efforts before they become formal projects, align cross-functional partners, clarify decision paths, and ensure initiatives are set up for successful delivery.
Purpose
Advance high-priority Digital Retail efforts from a business perspective — partnering with product leaders across multiple lines of business — with particular strength in the discovery and shaping phases. Drive stakeholder alignment, readiness, and adoption by translating strategic priorities into clear actions, operating routines, and leadership messages.
Core accountabilities
Discovery leadership. Frame ambiguous business problems into a clear opportunity: hypothesis, scope, impacted LOBs, value case, success measures, and decision path. Produce the artifacts that let leaders decide whether and how to invest.
Cross-LOB orchestration. Convene product, design, risk, marketing, operations and technology partners across organizational boundaries; surface dependencies, conflicts and gaps early, and drive them to a decision rather than a status report.
Set-up for success. Define the operating model for each effort — governance cadence, decision rights, roles, intake and hand-off to delivery teams — so work lands cleanly with the delivery PMs rather than duplicating them.
Business case and outcomes. Own the value narrative end to end: baseline, expected benefit, measurement plan, and post-launch validation of whether the outcome materialized.
Flexible deployment. Take assignments directly from leadership priorities; move between efforts as those priorities shift, with a clear entry and exit point for each engagement.
Executive communication. Translate complex, multi-party efforts into concise updates and recommendations for senior leaders and connect them to the broader DR story.
Communications Strategy & Content Operations
Manage communications infrastructure, including content calendars, intake, SharePoint resources, review cadences, standards, and reusable templates.
Audience-aware communications. Develop clear, audience-aware communications that connect strategic priorities to business outcomes, client impact, team actions, and success measures.
Automation & scale. Use AI tools, automation, SharePoint capabilities, and repeatable content operations practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
Explicitly out of scope
Sprint-level delivery management, backlog ownership, release coordination, and technology execution tracking — those remain with the delivery program/project managers and product owners. This role hands off to them; it does not replace or supervise them.
Success measures
Efforts help reach investment decisions faster, with a documented business case and named owners.
Fewer efforts stall or restart due to unresolved cross-LOB dependencies.
Clean hand-offs to delivery: scope, success metrics and governance defined before build starts.
Leadership can redeploy the role to a new priority with minimal ramp.
Communications channels, content calendars, intake, templates, and SharePoint resources improve consistency, reduce duplicative effort, and enable timely, audience-aware updates that support leader readiness and team adoption.
7+ years in business program management, strategy execution, or management consulting; financial services or digital product environment preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead ambiguous, cross-organizational efforts without direct authority.
Strong discovery toolkit: problem framing, stakeholder mapping, business case development, outcome measurement.
Executive-level written and verbal communication;…
