USTDA critical-minerals studies may encounter artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) economies where technical feasibility cannot be separated from livelihoods, human rights, traceability, security and market access. Axyde Analytics seeks a senior advisor anchored to the Washington, DC development-policy market to make those issues actionable.
CORE WORKSTREAMS1. Diagnose licensing, formalization, land-access and cooperative/governance conditions.
2. Map miners, aggregators, traders, processors, exporters, regulators and community stakeholders.
3. Assess OECD-aligned due diligence, chain of custody, responsible sourcing and traceability controls.
4. Evaluate child/forced-labor, gender, safety, environmental, conflict-finance and corruption risks.
5. Design practical inclusion, monitoring and market-access measures that fit local institutions.
COUNTRY-LEVEL PROOFYour résumé should demonstrate at least 10 years of relevant work, preferably with an advanced degree, and name countries, minerals, donor/private-sector programs, counter parties, your personal responsibilities and results. Direct experience converting field evidence into implementable policy, investment or supply-chain recommendations is essential.
HOW THE ENGAGEMENT WORKSThis is fully remote, contract and contingent on a funded assignment; there is no promised volume.
