Do you have a passion for merchandising and consumer products? Are you highly analytical, detail-oriented, and energized by turning data into action? Chubbies is looking for a Merchandising Coordinator to create line plans, help drive assortments, optimize product performance, and support seasonal line planning across the brand.
In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Planning, Product Development, Marketing, and Operations to ensure our data and assortments are positioned for success. The Merchandise Coordinator will play a key role in managing product data, analyzing business performance, assisting assortment decisions, and supporting the execution of seasonal launches from concept through commercialization.
Duties and responsibilities- Own and maintain line plan accuracy across assigned categories, including product setup, attribute management, and seasonal assortment updates.
- Analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve category performance.
- Support assortment planning and category strategies by evaluating sales trends, consumer insights, inventory levels, and market opportunities.
- Ensure product information, pricing, naming conventions, and merchandising attributes are accurate across all customer-facing channels.
- Create and maintain merchandising reports, dashboards, and business recaps to support decision-making across the organization.
- Communicate product updates, assortment changes, and key milestones across cross-functional teams including Product Development, Tech Design, Sourcing, Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Operations.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in SKU creation, product setup, line architecture, and lifecycle management processes.
- Oversee and maintain product naming standards across the business.
- Support design team in PLM system with BOM creation/updates.
- 0–2 years of merchandising, buying, planning, retail analytics, business management, or related experience; relevant internships welcomed but not required.
- Maintain accurate product information throughout the product lifecycle, including style details, pricing, colorways, delivery dates, and assortment changes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets skills required.
- Experience with Shopify, Looker, Net Suite, or similar merchandising and reporting platforms preferred. Miro or other digital whiteboard experience also preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
