Job Description

Summary:

The ACC School of Community Education is seeking a Part-Time Central Texas (CTX) Learning Festival Coordinator to support the Annual CTX Learning Festival—a celebration of learning in all its forms throughout Central Texas. In this role, you will help our team coordinate and promote the festival while collaborating with community partners and members to deliver a week of free and open learning experiences.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

Data & Record Coordination Database Maintenance:
Coordinate and organize a database of 200+ partners, stakeholders, and general contacts.

Event Tracking:
Maintain a frequently changing list of 200+ events per annual Festival cycle, including the maintenance of event submission form(s).

Meeting Documentation:
Organize monthly meeting information and notes.

General Recordkeeping:
Coordinate and organize overall Festival records and data.

Digital Promotion & Design Website Operations:
Publish events to the website, maintain the site, and enhance user experience.

Social Media:
Coordinate collaborative social media promotion.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement Outreach:
Identify and engage potential Festival hosts, partners, and stakeholders.

Communications:
Coordinate internal and external communications based on experience.

Administrative Support:
Serve as a secondary contact for the organization, schedule Festival partner meetings, and create meeting agendas.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with Festival partners.

Material & Tool Creation Planning & Slide Decks:
Help create planning timelines and design slide decks.

Promotional Media:
Design print and digital promotional materials.

Promotional Toolkit:
Maintain and enhance partner promotional toolkit for event hosts.

Impact Analysis:
Identify methods and assessment tools to analyze the impact and reach of Festival programming.

General Requirements

Timeline Planning:
Capability to help create planning timelines for the Festival.

Assist with setting milestones and actionable steps to achieve goals.

Adaptability:
Ability to adapt workflows during cyclical periods of more intense work activity.

Travel:
Some travel is required throughout the Central Texas region to attend events, as well as visit Festival hosts, partners, and stakeholders.

Knowledge of Event planning and coordinating processes.

Project Management Web design and maintenance Social Media Marketing Graphic Design Principles.

Skills Maintain an established yet flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Effectively use interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy.

Exceptional written communication skills.

Effectively use organization and planning skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.

Creating electronic presentations, information packages, and activity schedules.

Work collaboratively with others, include external community partners.

Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.

Establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.

Technology Skills Google Suite Canva Zoom Survey tools, such as Survey Monkey Social Media Website maintenance.

Required Work Experience Event planning and communications. Creating promotional digital and print materials Social media marketing Safety Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
