Key Responsibilities Provides leadership, direction and strategy development and makes final administrative or operational decisions within level of authority.  Ensure group's activities role model safe behavior, follow proper protocol and procedures, including core values.

Lead cross functional teams to support supplier engineering objectives and ensure sourcing decision is consistent with overall strategy.  Set and drive clear goals for cost savings, value creation and vendor performance in context of business unit operating plan.

Maintain effective relationships with key internal customers and support organizations.  Work with cross functional departments, to develop cost reduction and avoidance initiatives and supply base improvement projects (Maintain Key Relationships).Utilize deep understanding of industry, supplier dynamics and market trends to determine sources of leverage.  Evaluate, qualify, & select suppliers.  Understand framework and help   executing to AOP.Maintain continuous awareness of ongoing vendor performance in assigned commodity/service areas.  

For all high impact vendors, participate in scorecard development, quarterly business reviews for assigned vendors

Participate in problem resolution/escalation arising from vendor performance issues for assigned commodities and services. ​Functional Knowledge Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices as well as the changing business environment

Business Expertise Applies in-depth knowledge of own segment/function, business and commercial expertise to differentiate itself from the competition
