Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about making summer unforgettable for children? Kido River Place is looking for a high-energy Lead Summer Camp Teacher to lead engaging summer camp experiences for children Pre-K through 5th grade
.

This role is perfect for someone who loves planning hands‑on activities, leading group games, and creating a joyful, safe, and enriching summer environment.

About the Role

As a Summer Camp Teacher
, you’ll take the lead in planning and implementing exciting, age‑appropriate camp programs that keep children active, curious, and having fun all summer long. You’ll work closely with fellow educators to create memorable experiences through themed activities, outdoor play, creative projects, and group challenges.

What You’ll Do

Listen

  • Connect with children to understand their interests, energy levels, and social needs
  • Communicate with families to share daily highlights and camper experiences
  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure a positive and inclusive camp environment

Learn

  • Participate in training and ongoing professional development
  • Learn and apply best practices for engaging school‑age and Pre‑K children in group settings
  • Observe children’s interactions to adapt activities and support positive behavior

Lead

  • Plan and lead fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate camp activities
  • Create a safe, structured, and energetic environment for all campers
  • Model enthusiasm, teamwork, and positive behavior
  • Foster a sense of belonging and excitement throughout the summer
Required Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare, school‑age, or camp setting
  • Strong understanding of child development and group management
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field, or CDA
  • 2+ years of experience leading groups of children in a classroom or camp setting
  • Experience working with school‑age children and facilitating group activities
