Job Overview

Ryan Companies is hiring a Project Manager II to join the Austin team. The role requires at least 6 years of successful project management experience in a design-build environment and a bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field. The candidate must have advanced knowledge of estimating, cost control, material pricing, and be able to use Microsoft Project and other project management tools.

Responsibilities
  • Work with project schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports.
  • Lead construction progress meetings and oversee design development.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, profit projections, schedules, and bid documents.
  • Negotiate and award subcontracts.
  • Conduct job site coordination meetings and provide job status reports.
  • Work directly with owners/clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living, multi-family).
  • Experience managing projects in the $1 – $75 million range; office and tenant improvement projects $1 – $30 million preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools; advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong estimating, cost‑control, and material‑pricing knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
  • Travel available as needed.
