We are working exclusively with a well-established Austin based General Contractor who is looking to add an Estimator to their preconstruction team due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming work.
This is a key hire within a collaborative preconstruction group, working closely with leadership, project management, and field teams across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. The role offers clear progression into more senior estimating responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed and conceptual estimates across commercial construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to develop accurate cost plans
- Lead subcontractor engagement during bidding and buyout phases
- Support preconstruction strategy, value engineering, and risk review
- Work closely with operations to ensure smooth handover into delivery
- Contribute to client‑facing discussions where required
- 5–8+ years estimating / preconstruction experience (flexible for strong candidates)
- Background in commercial construction (ground‑up and/or interiors experience preferred)
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, in‑office environment
- Experience working directly with clients/owners
- $110,000 – $135,000 base (DOE)
