Barry's is the Best Workout in the World
TM. Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, it's the original strength and cardio interval fitness experience that provides an immersive, high-intensity, one-hour workout that's as effective as it is fun. Our fitness classes alternate between working out with weights and running on a treadmill. Each day focuses on a different muscle group in order to achieve real results and to prevent injuries.
Our program is designed to tone muscle and maximize fat loss, while spiking the metabolism for up to 48 hours following the class.

About the role
Barry's is seeking a Construction Manager to support the execution of new studio developments across the U.S. Reporting directly to the VP, Construction, this role will manage projects through all phases of development and construction while helping ensure studios are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with Barry's brand standards.
This position is ideal for a motivated construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously, and is comfortable working closely with contractors, consultants, landlords, and internal teams. The Construction Manager will play a key role in day-to-day project execution, budgeting, bidding, contractor coordination, and field management across the Barry's development pipeline.
What you'll do
* Manage multiple studio construction projects from pre-construction through turnover and opening
* Actively manage project budgets throughout all phases of development and construction
* Lead bid coordination efforts, including contractor/vendor outreach, bid leveling, scope comparisons, and pricing analysis
* Qualify and evaluate general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors based on experience, pricing, schedule, and project fit
* Assist in negotiating project costs, reviewing proposals, and identifying value engineering opportunities without compromising brand standards
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, landlords, and general contractors throughout the project lifecycle
* Assist in managing project schedules, permitting, bidding, and construction activities
* Track project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, and cost impacts
* Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, and project documentation
* Support permitting and jurisdictional approval processes
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project standards
* Coordinate punch lists, turnover, and project closeout activities
* Maintain accurate project reporting and communicate regular status updates to the VP, Construction
* Partner with Development, Design, Operations, and Studio Opening teams to support successful project execution
* Help maintain consistency with Barry's construction standards and prototype requirements
* Travel frequently to active construction sites throughout the U.S. (approximately 50-70%)
Qualifications
* Minimum 5-7 years of construction project management experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, fitness, or commercial interiors
* Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, budgeting, bidding, and project coordination
* Experience managing vendors, contractors, schedules, and project costs
* Experience reviewing and leveling contractor bids and qualifying vendors
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management platforms
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required
