Data Center Construction Project Manager - Owner's Rep - Austin, TX

They build mission‑critical facilities nationwide for Enterprise, Colocation and Hyperscale Companies.

• Maintain liaison with contractors and vendors to manage day‑to‑day activities that impact the delivery of the company’s critical facilities construction projects.
• Ensure that all day‑to‑day project responsibilities are met by contractors and vendors.
• Manage projects such as greenfields, brownfields, upgrades, or retrofits of data centers.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors as necessary and create and manage project schedules.
• Develop project plans – sizing, costs, budget, scheduling, timeline, manage change orders, etc.
• Assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors.
• Deliver Built‑to‑Suit projects with a heavy emphasis on value‑engineering.
• Drive company standards uniformly across all projects.
• Identify, manage and mitigate areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk to management.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interests while maintaining good client relationships.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Act as a key liaison with managers of all company departments.
• Maintain all logs required to track project progress.

• BA/BS a plus.
• Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or General Contractor.
• Experience with retrofits, upgrades, or capital improvement projects in a live data center environment.
• Familiarity with the design process for building systems in data center and mission‑critical projects.
• Experience managing budgets.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry.
• Membership in professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 Exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow, etc.
• Client‑facing / client relationship / client management skills.
• Solid construction project management experience.
• Effective communication skills – email, phone, and face‑to‑face.
• Ability to work independently.
• Travel as needed to project sites.
• Solid admin skills.
• Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus.
• Previous military experience is a huge plus, especially in electrical/mechanical roles.
