Compensation: $75,000 – $95,000 per year
Summary (Scope of the Job)Target Solutions – A Cotton Company is actively looking for a Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for all phases of construction re‑build projects using proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents, including performance management, administration, documentation, safety, and customer contact. The Project Manager directs and coordinates projects, assists in estimating labor, materials and time to compute overall cost, and ensures profitability and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate daily with operations to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Keep customers and insurance adjusters updated on all project activities while adhering to company protocol, project and safety policies, and accounting procedures.
- Ensure service quality meets the company’s highest standard.
- Assist in preparing scopes of work and estimates.
- Win competitive bids.
- Set and monitor project budgets to ensure profitability.
- Perform work within established budgets and communicate job progression from start to finish.
- Set draw schedules with subcontractors and vendors, pull permits, initiate and follow through all necessary paperwork.
- Develop a site safety plan and communicate it to field supervisors and labor.
- Maintain client and adjuster communications to promote excellent customer service.
- Ensure job files contain properly signed contracts and required forms.
- Process files promptly for accurate accounting department processing.
- Complete/draft daily project management reviews.
- Conduct safety toolbox meetings and participate in safety investigations.
- Provide feedback to operation and production managers as needed.
- Keep open communication and network with adjusters, insurance community, and client business contacts.
- Maintain integrity and uphold the company’s “Cotton” image.
- Hire subcontractors and suppliers.
- Direct daily activities on construction projects.
- Meet client and adjuster needs and requests.
- Resolve conflicts with customers and adjusters.
- Manage operational staff performance and scope changes, determining when to extend beyond standard protocol to resolve issues or secure work.
- Understand workflow procedures and systems.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of Xactimate
- Minimum 2 years managing commercial construction projects, with heavy reconstruction project knowledge (required)
- Proficiency reading construction plans and specifications
- Understanding of workflow procedures and systems
- Knowledge of insurance industry (plus)
- Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (required)
- Proven communication, relationship building, organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Good driving record and minimum age 21 with at least 3 years of driving experience, no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, and no repeat seat belt violations or high‑speed violations.
