Senior Field Technician - Construction Materials Testing - Austin, Texas

What are we looking for?The Senior Construction Materials (CMT) Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing (soil, concrete, etc.), project‑specific observation, inspection duties, and providing assessment data under general supervision.
What you’ll do:- Utilize, read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and diagrams
- Use specific methods to observe site activities, perform tasks and give the interpretation of results
- Attend project meetings alone, without supervision, and communicate effectively with client and project teams

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications- Must possess at least one of the following certifications:
- ACI:
Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1; - TXAPA Certifications (Level 1B HMA Roadway Specialist, Level 1A HMA Plant Production Specialist, etc.);
- ICC:
Soils, Concrete, Masonry, Commercial Building Inspector, Spray‑applied Fireproofing; - NICET II (geotechnical or construction, or construction material testing or soils);
- AWCI EIFS inspector; UL or FM firestop examination
- ACI:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
- Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and make discriminations in sound.
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
- Ability to climb occasionally
- High School Diploma or equivalent
