Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety
Position Summary
TRP Infrastructure Services is seeking a proactive and safety-driven EHS Coordinator to support and enhance environmental, health, and safety programs across our Pavement Marking, Traffic Control, Heavy Highway Construction, and Infrastructure Services operations.
The EHS Coordinator serves as a key resource for field leadership by coordinating safety initiatives, conducting audits and investigations, supporting regulatory compliance efforts, and assisting with implementation of company-wide EHS programs. This position is considered a developmental leadership role and serves as the next step beyond Safety Associate, providing increased responsibility in safety program management, employee development, and operational support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive jobsite inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead safety observations and behavioral-based safety initiatives.
- Partner with operations teams to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Coordinate company safety programs and compliance initiatives.
- Lead investigations involving incidents, near misses, vehicle accidents, and property damage events.
- Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety meetings, and compliance training.
- Mentor Safety Associates and assist in developing future EHS professionals.
- Support environmental compliance and fleet safety initiatives.
- Serve as a primary EHS resource for assigned branches and projects.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of construction safety, EHS, pavement marking, traffic control, heavy highway, or related industry experience.
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards.
- Experience conducting inspections and investigations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
- OSHA 510 Certification.
- CHST Certification.
- ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor Certification.
