Safety Worxs is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator (PSC) for a boiler project in Austin, TX. The PSC is responsible for leading and managing all construction safety activities from project commencement through substantial completion.
Must have 7 years of specific building construction and an OSHA 500 or 502 to be considered. This role ensures full compliance with federal, state, and project-specific safety standards while fostering a proactive, positive safety culture. The PSC will remain active on the project until the ODR provides written concurrence for removal.
Responsibilities- Administer and oversee the project’s safety program throughout the full construction lifecycle
- Implement and manage construction safety processes, including hazard identification, mitigation, and routine field inspections
- Conduct incident investigations and prepare documentation with preventive recommendations
- Provide documented continuing education and practical training in
- Fall Protection, Scaffolds, Excavation & Trenching, Confined Space, Crane/Equipment Operations, Electrical Safety, Incident Investigation,
- Review and approve safety method statements and procedures related to high-hazard activities
- Maintain accurate safety records, compliance documentation, and training evidence
- Serve as a liaison with project leadership for all safety matters
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to project safety standards and regulatory requirements
- 7+ years building construction safe

** Experience must be building construction only (General Industry or specialty-only backgrounds will not qualify)- Must possess OSHA 500 (Construction Industry Trainer) OR OSHA 502 (Trainer Update). OSHA 10 or 30 and OSHA 510 do not satisfy the training requirement.
- CSP, CHST, or other BCSP certifications (may count toward experience)
- There is not per diem, so local candidate preferred.
