Senior Project Manager
As a Senior Project Manager in the construction industry, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities include ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients. You will lead and motivate teams, manage resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Additionally, you will ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in project management in the horizontal construction industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing large‑scale construction projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Professional certification in project management
- Experience with construction software (HCSS Heavy Bid) and technology
- Experience managing projects in multiple locations
- Experience working with government agencies and public entities such as TxDOT, HNTB, Travis/Williamson/Hays County, City of Austin, etc.
- Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams
- Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Identify and manage project risks and issues
- Understand and manage project financial performance including Cost to Complete, Work in Progress, and Over/Under Billings
- Sitting and standing: employees often alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day
- Keyboarding and hand dexterity: frequent use of hands for typing and operating office equipment is common
- Reaching and bending: tasks may require reaching overhead or bending to access materials
- Lifting and carrying: occasional lifting of materials up to 20–25 pounds is often expected
- Vision and hearing: good vision is necessary for reading printed materials and viewing computer screens; adequate hearing is essential for communication in person and over the phone
- Mobility: ability to move around the office and job sites, including walking between active work areas, is often required
