Preconstruction Manager

Our client, a nationally recognized integrated design and construction firm, is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join its growing Austin team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced estimator or preconstruction professional who enjoys collaborating with clients and design teams to develop accurate budgets and innovative project solutions from concept through construction.

• Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through final GMP development.
• Prepare conceptual estimates, detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses.
• Develop value engineering solutions and provide constructability recommendations.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal project teams throughout the design process.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Develop project budgets, scopes of work, and bid packages.
• Participate in client presentations, design meetings, and project pursuit activities.
• Support a seamless transition from preconstruction to operations.

• 5+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a commercial General Contractor.
• Experience leading preconstruction efforts on negotiated commercial projects.
• Experience in Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing, or Hospitality Construction Projects
• Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and subcontractor procurement.
• Ability to build relationships with owners, consultants, and trade partners.
• Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and construction management tools.
