Scott Humphrey has partnered with a well-established and highly respected General Contractor to identify a Project Manager for its Austin office. This opportunity is ideal for a construction professional with experience managing Healthcare, Hospitality, and Advanced Manufacturing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing project execution, financial performance, subcontractor management, scheduling, quality control, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities- Lead the successful execution of Healthcare, Hospitality and Advanced Manufacturing construction projects.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and monthly owner pay applications.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration, change order management, and trade partner performance.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and site logistics plans in collaboration with field operations and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and facility representatives to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Identify and proactively resolve project challenges related to scope, schedule, budget, and constructability.
- Ensure compliance with all project safety requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor project documentation, RFIs, submittals, procurement schedules, and project reporting.
- Support commissioning, turnover, and occupancy requirements, particularly on technically complex facilities.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and other team members while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships that contribute to repeat business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience with responsibility for projects up to $50M+.
- Proven experience managing Healthcare, Hospitality, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial, or other complex commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of project financial management, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Experience with MEP-intensive projects, complex building systems, and highly coordinated construction environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with Design‑Build, CMAR, or Integrated Project Delivery methods is a plus.
- LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable construction practices is preferred, but not required.
