The HT Group is partnering with a commercial construction company to hire a Construction Estimator supporting Texas-based preconstruction and light industrial projects. This role is responsible for analyzing construction documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and supporting successful project pursuits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in estimating commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities- Review construction documents, specifications, and bid packages to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Participate in preconstruction planning, proposal kickoff meetings, and estimating strategy discussions.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Analyze bids for completeness and compliance with project requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners.
- Maintain subcontractor and cost databases to support future estimating efforts.
- Utilize estimating software and company systems to prepare competitive bids and budgets.
- Research and organize historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy.
- Support responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other project pursuits.
- Collaborate with operations and preconstruction teams throughout the estimating process.
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and overall preconstruction efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3–5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, preferably within light industrial or related project types.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and estimating principles.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
