Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager for a leading structural steel and pre-engineered metal building contractor experiencing significant growth throughout Texas. This opportunity is ideal for a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager coming from a commercial General Contractor environment who is looking to take the next step into a true Project Management role.
The selected candidate will gain exposure to the entire project lifecycle, including preconstruction, estimating, contract review, procurement, project execution, financial management, and client relations. Projects include hyperscale data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, large commercial developments, sports venues, and other industrial construction projects across Texas.
This individual will work closely with executive leadership while managing relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers throughout the construction process. The company offers a unique opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial team, gain visibility into all aspects of the business, and play a key role in supporting the organization’s rapid expansion over the next several years.
Day-to-Day- Manage structural steel and pre-engineered metal building projects from turnover through closeout
- Coordinate with General Contractors, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, and financial performance
- Support project turnover from estimating and preconstruction teams
- Review contracts and assist with project setup and planning
- Manage material procurement and delivery schedules
- Track project costs and identify potential financial risks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders
- Coordinate with field teams, Superintendents, and QA/QC personnel
- Travel to active job sites throughout Texas to monitor project progress
- Work directly under the Project Executive to facilitate successful project delivery

- 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager
- Experience working for a Commercial General Contractor or Large Specialty Contractor
- Experience supporting large-scale commercial or industrial vertical construction projects
- Exposure to structural steel, tilt-wall, concrete, or other major structural building scopes
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination
- Strong understanding of construction project management processes from preconstruction through completion
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel throughout Texas 3-4 days per week, including occasional multi-week project assignments
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Data center construction experience
- Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB)
- Structural steel subcontractor experience
- Manufacturing, warehouse, distribution center, or industrial facility experience
- High-rise or large commercial construction experience
- Exposure to estimating, contract review, and preconstruction activities
- Experience managing steel suppliers, material vendors, and ironworker subcontractors
