Asphalt and Concrete Foreman

Role Description The Asphalt and Concrete Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Jarrell, TX. This role oversees daily field operations for asphalt and concrete parking lot projects, including planning work, assigning tasks, and monitoring productivity and quality. The foreman coordinates materials, equipment, and crew schedules, ensures work is completed according to specifications and safety standards, and communicates with project managers and site contacts.

Day-to-day responsibilities include directing layout and formwork, supervising placement and finishing of concrete and asphalt, inspecting work for compliance, troubleshooting issues on site, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The role also involves training crew members, documenting job progress, and supporting timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with Formwork and Flatwork, including layout, setup, and finishing tasks.
• Experience operating or overseeing Heavy Equipment commonly used in asphalt and concrete construction.
• Knowledge of Ready Mix Concrete handling, placement, and curing practices.
• Carpentry skills relevant to building and adjusting forms and related structures.
• Proven experience supervising asphalt and/or concrete crews on commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards and ability to enforce safe work practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate diverse team members.
• Reliable transportation to Austin, TX job sites and willingness to work in outdoor conditions.
• Ability to read plans and specifications; basic math skills for measurements and quantities.
• Previous foreman or lead role in concrete or asphalt construction preferred.
