Position:
Project Manager - Corrections / Commercial Construction

A well-established General Contractor with a long-standing presence in the corrections sector is looking to add an experienced Project Manage
r to their growing team.

This is an opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work, delivering correctional facilities across Texas and the Southern United States. The company currently has multiple active projects, another commencing shortly, and additional work in pursuit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of correctional facility construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and client relationships
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and proactively resolve project issues
  • Prepare and present project updates to internal leadership and project stakeholders
  • Mentor and support project teams while promoting collaboration and accountability

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a Commercial General Contractor
  • Ground-up commercial construction experience required
  • Previous experience delivering correctional facilities, prisons, jails, detention centres, or similar secure government projects is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Texas and the Southern U.S.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
  • Proficient with construction management software and project management tools
