Electrical Safety Manager

Job Description

Evergreen Innovation Group, part of DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an Electrical Safety Manager. The manager will implement EIG’s environmental health and safety plan (EHSP) and related programs at assigned construction projects. They will work closely with our project management team and our subcontractors to recognize and address potential hazards before they exist and ensure compliance with our EHSP using behavior‑based safety techniques.

• Shepherd and develop career paths for Safety Coordinators.
• Coach EIG team members on safety leadership and management practices.

• Lead and live EIG’s injury‑free environment culture.
• Lead pre‑qualification processes for EIG.
• Provide trending analysis for project / regional data on a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis.
• Foster the development of safety programs and protocols.
• Develop and blend site‑specific safety plan(s) that incorporate both EIG’s and our core market customers’ safe work practices.
• Assist with the continual development of new methods for abating hazards.
• Perform regular jobsite safety audits of worksite activities. Share findings, corrective actions, and corrective plans with DPR project management.
• Use all necessary resources, including escalation, to ensure the maintenance of an injury‑free environment.
• Help monitor the subcontractor selection process and adherence to established environmental safety and health guidelines.
• Measure team engagement regarding safety management practices.
• Maintain regional safety files such as safety training documentation, medical certifications, environmental testing, special training, investigation reports, close calls, injury summaries, leading indicator data, and other safety and health documentation.

• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong work ethic and a "can‑do," "let’s find a solution" attitude.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience on construction sites.
• OSHA 500 training.
• Competent person, train‑the‑trainer, and other activity‑specific certifications.
• Degree in safety management or CHST certification a plus.
• Manufacturing / data center / hi‑rise experience a plus.
• Carpenter or laborer union affiliation okay.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Travel to and from the office as well as assigned job site(s).
