HVAC Controls Project Manager (Austin, Texas)

Our client is a global leader, serving BAS, HVAC, Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Data Centres, Education and Healthcare sectors.

About the Role:

As an HVAC Controls Project Manager you will lead or coordinate construction projects such as developing a new facility; the addition, expansion or extension of an existing facility; or renovation/alterations to a facility in collaboration with project team, construction site and management, develop assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project and organise and direct construction personnel and ensures that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Project & Budget Management:
    Ensure high-quality projects are completed on time and within budget constraints, including conducting status updates, cost analysis, and managing scope changes.
  • Scheduling & Site Coordination:
    Lead pre-job planning meetings, maintain project schedules to align with the master schedule, and conduct on-site inspections to resolve progress or contract issues.
  • Subcontractor & Equipment Procurement:
    Establish and execute subcontracts and equipment buy-outs to directly support project budgets and timelines.
  • Financial Estimates & Billing:
    Assemble and review project estimates into the cost system, and prepare monthly contract billings to ensure steady cash flow.
  • Communication & Continuous Improvement:
    Communicate project issues promptly to management and identify policies to drive continuous operational improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is mandatory.
  • 2-5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.
