Scott Humphrey has partnered with a well-established general contractor to identify an experienced Superintendent to support its growing portfolio of corrections and detention facility projects across Texas, Mississippi, and the broader Southern U.S.
As a Construction Superintendent, you will provide onsite leadership for field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Superintendent will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel through all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite leadership and oversight for all phases of assigned construction projects.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor performance, productivity, and quality.
- Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Maintain project documentation to support effective field management and coordination.
- Implement and enforce Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs.
- Conduct site inspections and proactively resolve construction challenges.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and injury-free work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure project success.
- Lead daily field operations and maintain clear communication among all stakeholders.
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial, institutional, civil, or corrections-related projects.
- Experience with correctional facilities, detention centers, justice facilities, government buildings, institutional construction, or large-scale ground-up commercial projects preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from groundbreaking through turnover.
- Strong leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Experience with construction management software;
Procore experience is highly preferred

- Willingness to travel as project needs require.
