Senior Project Engineer – Commercial Construction

We are seeking a motivated Senior Project Engineer with commercial construction experience to join a growing General Contractor in Austin, TX. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 3+ years of experience working on commercial construction projects, including current Project Engineers who are ready to take the next step into a Senior Project Engineer role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in commercial construction and be comfortable supporting projects throughout the construction process.

What You'll Do

• Support Project Managers and project teams throughout the full construction lifecycle.
• Assist with the coordination and management of commercial construction projects.
• Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
• Help maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and assist with communication between project stakeholders.
• Support procurement and material tracking.
• Assist with identifying and resolving project issues.
• Conduct document control and ensure project information is accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with field teams to support successful project execution.
• Take on increasing responsibility and grow toward future Project Management opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Current Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or similar construction management experience.
• Experience working for a General Contractor is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and project documentation.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, and project coordination.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Base salary up to $110,000+, depending on experience and qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer ready to advance into a Senior Project Engineer role or an experienced Senior Project Engineer looking to continue building their career with a strong commercial General Contractor.
