With multiple corrections projects already in the pipeline across Central Texas and Mississippi

What You'll Be Doing Preconstruction & Project Planning
  • Lead project turnover from estimating to operations.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
  • Coordinate permitting, agency approvals, and project startup activities.
  • Execute subcontract agreements and oversee buyout processes.
Project Execution & Client Management
  • Manage all phases of corrections and detention facility construction projects.
  • Lead meetings with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Drive project schedules and maintain budget performance.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure successful project delivery.
Field Leadership
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, logistics, and safety.
  • Coordinate structural, civil, MEP, security, and specialty systems installations.
  • Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Assist field teams in resolving project challenges and maintaining schedule commitments.
Quality, Safety & Project Closeout
  • Champion quality control throughout all phases of construction.
  • Enforce OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Lead punch-list completion, project closeout, and owner turnover.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete and contract requirements are fulfilled.
Requirements Required Experience
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a Commercial General Contractor.
  • Proven experience managing ground-up commercial, institutional, government, justice, corrections, detention, healthcare, education, or public-sector projects.
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, scheduling, cost control, and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, consultants, and client relationships.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, MS Project, Sage, or similar construction management software.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, contract administration, procurement, and construction documentation.
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Natural leader focused on team development and project success.
  • Strong communicator with excellent client-facing skills.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure.
