Job Details

General Notes:
This position requires a regular schedule Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm, and occasional evening and weekend hours. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Purpose

This position provides multimedia support and assistance with a variety of media production environments, software and hardware.

Responsibilities
  • Produce digital audio/video content for instructional projects. Advise clients on the use of various software applications and computer hardware peripherals, including web publishing, non-linear digital video editing, interactive and multimedia publishing. Coordinate recording and video conferencing for the College's Academic and Professional pursuits. Provide effective and efficient communication with clients and team members. Demonstrate good customer service. Provide instruction to users and team members for the use and application of created instructional content.

    Provide wiki documentation on commonly needed actions in these areas.
  • Support 3 camera studio productions ensure technical setup is to broadcast specification, assist student with various positions in 3 live production, including camera operation, lighting, audio mixing, IFB, video recording, playback, camera calibration. Provide wiki documentation on commonly needed actions in these areas.
  • Assist with operation aspects of the specialized Editing Labs, Teaching Stations and individual Post-Production Rooms to minimize downtime and ensure usability of lab systems during open hours. Monitor the status of the facilities and see to their maintenance as needed, including updates, patching, configuring and troubleshooting. Assist with supervision and task assignment of student proctors.
  • Act as second tier support for others on the technology team, providing specialized knowledge. Develop technology infrastructure that supports Technology Services. Collaborate with University, non-helpdesk and other third party technicians.
  • Other related functions as assigned
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Media Technology or related field. Three years professional experience in media technology or related field. Experience with Single Camera and/or Multi Camera Production, Post Production software in video editing and sound editing.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator After Effects, Audition) Davinci Resolve, AVID Media Composer, Protools.

Salary Range

$45,000 + depending on qualifications

Retirement Plan Eligibility

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
